The Spiritdance Project is pleased to announce that it is officially
a program of Public Health Foundation Enterprises, a tax-exempt 501c3 corporation.
Our project is committed to providing life-enhancing alternatives to typical
party scenes, where drug/alcohol abuse, and negative youth culture are significant
influences.
Our arts and entertainment program powerfully promotes positive, drug-free dance
parties, workshops, and positive culture, where youth, and participants of all
ages (depending on the type of event), are left empowered-- having a good time
that is fun AND value creating. Rather than preach to youth what they should
not do, we focus on providing attractive avenues to alternatives: things they
CAN do to enjoy their lives to the fullest.
The Spiritdance Project Events are designed to be gatherings of positive influences
we can all benefit from. Right now, our number one priority is to provide safe
places for youth to enjoy exposure to positive music, art, dancing, culture,
and sustainable living practices (i.e. culinary choices, ecological conservation,
and physical fitness).
Our work advocates technologies/methods for the chemical-free and responsible
enjoyment of all that life has to offer. We celebrate values that promote peaceful
living, a balanced eco-system, and acts of loving-kindness throughout the world.
As we meet our funding goals, we expect to be sponsoring activities and regular
workshops that expose youth to the benefits of positive music production, dance
performance, creative visualization, Chi Gung, and Tai Chi through local experts
and our connections to the Shaolin Temple in China (the birthplace of Kung Fu).
